I believe …. Affirmations to help you through divorce |
|
Everyone deals with divorce in his or her own way but a common thread amongst the casualties of divorce is self-talk?
We shape our thought processes & daily emotions with both negative & positive comments, although we cannot change what is happening to us we can change how we think about it.
Here are a few affirmations that can help rebalance our emotions
I believe my painful ending can lead to a new beginning
However a marriage has ended the destruction it leaves behind is painful & real. Our self-belief can be shattered into pieces & allow us to believe that life will never be the same again & in a way this is true. However the journey that awaits us does not have to a negative experience. Lao Tzu stated, “New Beginnings are often disguised as painful endings”
I believe & acknowledge that this change is painful but I believe it is empowering
Change is painful but it can bring personal growth & development. Believing you can move forward & taking one day at a time can be empowering & necessary to create your new reality. Parikh suggests that Misery = negative emotion x resistance so acknowledging that you cant change the facts of the situation but you can create a new vision for your future. It may be a different path than the one you expected but this may allow you to slowly move forward rather than holding onto the past.
I believe this too will pass
When dealing with emotions we all experience happy & challenging times but one thing is certain that these times will pass as we learn & develop as individuals. Knowing this when the painful life changing event of divorce arrives at our door rocking us to the core, believing that whatever emotion it creates whether we feel overwhelmed, immobilized, or I just cant go on, life will change & you can take control of your new thought processes.
